5 Day Wrestling Camp with Vougar
August 5-9, 2013
$300 per wrestler Grades 1st -12th
2 Time World Champion
Vougar is a two-time freestyle wrestling world champion and an Olympic bronze medalist. He competed in both the 1992 Summer Olympics, where he competed for the Unified Team, and the 1996 Summer Olympics, taking third and fourth respectively. He is currently an assistant coach at Nassau Community College. He is the NJCAA Wrestling Coach of the Year 2012.
Vougar’s son, Nick Arujau, is a three-time state champion from New York (2008, 2009, 2010) and All-American. Nick is currently on the Cornell University wrestling team.
Mike Graffolla- Four Time High School State Champion from Virginia, High School National Champion and NJCAA National Champion.
Camp: This camp will provide wrestlers with all skills needed to become to become a champion. Training techniques (offence/defense) will include a variety of different attacks, counterattacks and takedowns. This camp is designed to teach the details that allow an athlete to score the needed winning takedown or turn their opponent for the pin.
Wrestlers need to bring lunch and drinks.
8:45 a.m. Commuter Drop Off at Cold Spring Harbor High School Field House
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Registration (first day only) and Check-in daily at 8:45 a.m.
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Technique and Drilling Session
12:00 to 1:00 p.m. lunch
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hard Drilling and live Wrestling Session
3:00 p.m. Commuter pick up
Final Day: Takedown Tournament at Field House (Family/Friends Welcome) 1:00-3:00 p.m
